The JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass is a special discounted pass available only to foreign travelers visiting Japan under the entry status of “Temporary visitor”. Visitors can use this pass to travel from Shimoda in Izu Peninsula to as far as Sapporo and Otaru. Thanks to the unlimited access to JR East lines, you can purchase the pass and it’s valid on six calendar days of your choice within a 14-day period starting from the date of purchase. You don’t have to determine your 6 travel dates at the time of purchase or exchange. For example, if you purchase your pass or get it by exchange on April 1, you can show the pass at a station on any six days between April 1 and April 14 and it will be stamped as valid for use on that day, and you don’t have to worry about language barriers.

Experience the nature and traditions of Hokuriku along one of JR’s newest routes, providing unlimited travel on JR trains (including Hokuriku Shinkansen) between Tokyo and Osaka via the less traveled Hokuriku Region (*Travel from Tokyo to Kyoto/Osaka is permitted though not directly. Must be via Kanazawa. Please refer to routing map). The Hokuriku Arch Pass can provide a small saving over a 7-day Japan Rail Pass for travelers who make a round trip between Tokyo and Kyoto/Osaka via the Hokuriku Region instead of via the more popularly traveled Tokaido Shinkansen. Shikoku is the smallest island of the four main islands (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu) of Japan. There are four prefectures located there: Tokushima, Kagawa, Ehime, and Kochi. Shikoku’s must visit spots are Dogo Hot springs, Naoshima, Naruto Whirlpool, and Iya valley. Although Shikoku is the smallest island, it takes time to travel to different places. Thus, we recommend travellers to purchase this pass. This pass unlimited train travel on 2, 3, 4, or 5 consecutive days. And also, it is valid not only on JR train but on other trains & trams which include Tosa Kuroshio Railway, Asa Kaigan Railway, Kotoden, Iyotetsu, Tosaden.
